Neighborhood Mailbox Upgrade

One of the major projects for consideration from the board of directors in 2007 was to attempt the replacement of old outdated mailboxes throughout our neighborhood. We had lived with these old mailboxes since day one, and where they still functioned in everyday use, they had began to pull our neighborhood down. A house to house campaign began in the summer of 2007 to correct this problem. It was known that in order to complete a project such as this would require the efforts of all the residents. This project would cost us $33,000.00 and a sacrifice would need to be made by all residents to accomplish a task this size. There was never a doubt that residents would be receptive to improving our neighborhood and keeping our home values up as well as staying competitive with other gated communities. On August 21, 2007 a meeting was held for all residents at East Ridge Country Club to address votes and proxies concerning mailbox replacement. The project was approved overwhelmingly and the rest is history. The mailboxes were purchased and installation began in March 2008 with completion date no later than April 15, 2008.
